AboutThe Chittamani Mahayana Buddhist Meditation Centre is a Gaden for the West meditation centre under the spiritual direction of the Venerable Acharya Zasep Tulku Rinpoche. The Resident Lama of the Chittamani Centre is Dr. Bob Kapitany (Lama Bob). The Chittamani Centre generally offers Dharma classes twice weekly as well as the opportunity for meditation retreats for students on a regular basis throughout the year. ClassesClasses are usually available for students two days a week (Tuesday and Thursday). The Thursday class (Mindfulness meditation) is for new members to the center regardless of how much meditation experience they have. RetreatAttendance at the weekly teachings is a requirement to prepare students for retreat. The Chittamani Centre offers retreat opportunities at least four times a year. As meditation instruction is ongoing, and out of respect to other students and the Resident Lama, you must first contact the webmaster at chittamanitara@hotmail.com prior to joining classes at the Chittamani Centre. All newcomers begin with the Thursday mindfulness meditation class, as attendance at the Tuesday Vajrayana class is by invitation by the Resident Lama only. The fee for classes is $10 per day or $50 per month. Classes are directed by the Resident Lama .
